Patricia Robaina is a harpsichordist and continuo player based in The Hague, Netherlands. Originally from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she works as a soloist, chamber musician and continuo player, specialising in historically informed performance.

She studied violin in her hometown, obtaining her Professional Degree with honours, before turning her attention to historical keyboard instruments. She studied harpsichord with Rosa Falcón and continued her studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón with Silvia Márquez (harpsichord), while also studying organ with Saskia Roures. In 2012 she moved to the Netherlands to study at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Music, studying harpsichord with Jacques Ogg and basso continuo with Patrick Ayrton.

Patricia has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician and continuo player throughout Europe and Asia. She has been involved with the International Bach Festival since 2014, performing chamber music alongside soloists from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and appearing as a soloist. She regularly collaborates with the New Dutch Academy and has participated in recording projects for the Pentatone label. She has also collaborated with orchestras and ensembles including MusicAeterna and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria, among others.

She is the founder and artistic director of Ensemble La Pantomime, through which she develops projects centred on early music and historically informed performance. She is also the founder and director of the International Early Music Course in Las Palmas, an annual course bringing together students and musicians around historically informed performance. Her musical work also extends into vocal and choral music, conducting Vocaal Ensemble Korenbloem. She has also collaborated as a harpsichord accompanist with the Dutch International Flute Competition.

Her concert activity has taken her to venues and festivals across Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Italy, Russia, Indonesia and Hong Kong. She has appeared at festivals including the Utrecht Early Music Festival, MAfestival Brugge, BRQ Vantaa Festival, Börzsöny Barokk, Festival Links, the International Bach Festival and the Diaghilev Festival.

Throughout her career, Patricia has worked with and studied alongside leading figures in historically informed performance, including Ton Koopman, Christophe Rousset, Peter Van Heyghen, Hidemi Suzuki, Mike Fentross and others.
